I had a rough day yesterday because I pulled an almost all-nighter for work the night before. Found myself wanting to snack to keep myself energized. I went to bed fairly early and slept like a rock. Made myself get up at my usual early time to get on the treadmill when I would much rather have stayed in bed. Made myself run/jog just over half of a mile and did 1.21 miles overall. I consider that a good start to my day.
I really feel my treadmill workouts in my lower legs this time around, which tells me that my muscles have been very underworked and which is probably why I've always had pencil-thin lower legs. Can't wait to see how they look covered in muscle! I've always taken bigger and bigger steps when I walked faster, which led to bad posture and hip and back issues. Now I'm making myself take more but shorter steps instead, which allows me to focus on my form. I can feel my core muscles getting stronger now, too.
