There is nothing like instituting routines and goals to get me going.
Everything takes more time than I expect.
Tonight at Wendy's to use the internet, I reposted Craigslist add for a room wanted, for the third time. The first two times, the add never made it into my Gmail account for confirmation. The "help" section says some servers routinely eat them, BEFORE they get to the spam folder. So in that case, try another provider. Tonight, I finally got them posted by using a Yahoo address instead of Gmail.
This morning I went to the grocery store, drained ice chests and added new ice. Then I went in a second time, took my bag in and clipped current coups in order to shop for specials at the store that go off sale today. There were things on sale I wanted to buy, but only if there were coupons for them to match the sales. I also cleaned out my coupon bag and my purse, and put a new battery in my pedometer. Not much luck with the coups, but I got organic salad on sale even cheaper than Aldi's, organic apples, organic celery on sale. 5lbs potatoes $1.88, 1 lb pasta 89 cents, 80% ground beef on sale for $1.69lb due to close expiry dates, and other items.
At Aldis I got blackberries, $1.59 for 6 oz; butter for $1.69 lb; 8oz cheese for $1.49, and 2 trays of lite turkey sausage for 25 cents each per tray.
Next I went to the insurance office, who sent my policy to an address I never gave them, which they were unable to explain; with monthly payment plan billing that was supposed to be canceled Oct 2 as I paid the whole 6 months; and with wrong policy dates of coverage; and credits and fees that shouldn't exist. Sigh. I stayed there a long time. She made 7 different calls, over the course of my visit at her office. I kept a tight reign on my mouth. And tried to be patient. I hate incompetence.
Then I went to the gym office, which is closed til 4pm. I decided to do other errands til 4, and then go back. However I never went back, and will have to go tomorrow. I also never made it to the library as planned, nor to the laundromat. At least I got the laundry sorted, organized in the car, and found all the quarters during my purse cleanout. I did get to Dollar Tree and did a few errands.
At the top of my list for today was to go to ministorage to get blankets, boots, and parka, since it's supposed to be 22 degrees with snow flurries tonight. At 6pm when I was (finally) ready to go to ministorage, it was windy and dark and no way was I going. So I'll have to tough it out tonight the best way I can, and keep warm the best I can in the car. I did get two hand warmers at Dollar Tree, I've never used them before but a friend has and she loves them.
I didn't get as much done as I wanted; but I never would have gotten all that done without first having the goals to do everything on the list. That's how it always is with me; I never get the list done but get much more done than I would have if I hadn't had the list.

15 mins ea treadmill & bike at gym per day
Find scale during ministorage cleanout; weigh and reset all SP stuff
Do the math, crunch numbers on 2 year or less to normal BMI
Start penciling in 2014 SMART Goals
Research resting metabolism rate
Research measuring fat percentage
Report weekly av steps per day and weight, on Sat's blog
So I am making progress, even if not as much as I wanted.
