13. True of false: I need to be pushed. Elaborate.
Yesterday's question was do I LIKE to be pushed... but do I NEED to be pushed? I think sometimes I do need a little scoot from an outside source. I am pretty good about pushing myself, but lately I have been slacking a bit. I haven't been out running yet this week due to weather (36 degrees and pouring rain makes me want to curl up with a book all day) and today it was ice on the sidewalks. I could have put on my reflective vest and run in the street which was clear, but that always makes me nervous, so instead I settled for walking the dog and doing yoga. My streak is still alive (Day 782!), but it has been a slack time for me. I need to crank out some miles on the elliptical or the rower, and get over this slothfullness that plagues me when the weather sucks. (Either that or move somewhere warmer.) I think if I had a running buddy, someone here, in person, to keep me accountable, then I wouldn't be such a wuss about the weather. So, yes, occasionally I do need to be pushed.
It snowed for real last night. There were all sorts of cars off the road and accidents happening. Glad I didn't have to be out in it last night. Today was enough for me. The roads were pretty clear, but on the way home from taking mom to the wound clinic it got kind of dicey. Not quite whiteout conditions. The ice on the sidewalks gave me a moments pause when I took Cooper out for his morning walk. I had been thinking of getting in that run today, but I was slipping around in my Winter boots. I figure I would have landed on my butt if I had tried running on that. It is supposed to warm up in a couple days, so maybe I can talk myself into getting out there once the ice is gone. I can foresee the ice being an issue for me pretty much all Winter. I am paranoid about falling on the stuff.
I have to go to court tomorrow night for the ticket I got for driving my mom's car with the lapsed inspection. I am a little nervous, but hopefully, since I made sure her car was inspected the very next morning the fine will be dropped and all I will have to pay is court costs.
