Day 49 - Went a little haywire but I'm still here!

Tuesday, November 12, 2013

So, I haven't been online a lot because well, life happens. I rarely get online anymore. I just don't have time. But, I haven't stopped watching what I was doing. Just because I wasn't checking in everyday anymore didn't mean that my journey has stopped.

Last week I weighed in at 294. I panicked. I won't lie. But, today, I weighed in at 289.4. Thinking about the causes it's simple. I pigged out on crap and didn't exercise. Then, on top of it, mother nature played a hand. I have noticed that mother nature tends to help me regain about 5 pounds of water once a month. It quickly goes away after but still. I hate seeing that shift on the scale.

I have been mostly just watching portion sizes since buying only health food is out of the question. Right now, it's all about just making sure that I have food in the house for the kids. My fiancé lost his job on Halloween so it's had me a bit stressed out. Ok, more than a bit. I'm just not sure what to do. He hasn't managed to keep a job past 6 weeks the whole time we've been together and it really does bother me. I decided that I'm not going to marry him until he can keep a job longer than 6 months. I don't know how that sounds to ya'll but I just can't do it.

But anyway, I don't want to be a negative Nancy. Things have been going well though. I got a great kudos from my 6 year old's teacher. She said that Monday is by far his best day of the week and that she gets the best work from him on that day. Which makes me feel great because he's always coming from my house. So, score 1 for mom! WOO! I also got my kids' school pictures in and they are sooooooo freakin cute! I will post them at another time.

That's the world of Andi as of late! I hope all of you have been doing great on your journeys!

I would make sure he held a job a lot more than 6 months. His not being able to hold a job should be a warning sign to you. You on the other hand seem to be doing well with portion control even though you can't afford to buy as you say the healthier foods. Kudos to you. emoticon
