Healthy Hair

Tuesday, November 12, 2013

For years I have had to use extra conditioner, flat irons and random other items to get my hair to not be wild, frizzy, just plain awful looking.

In a random conversation a few weeks ago with BONOLICIOUS2 she told me how her boyfriend suggested she try BIOTIN for similar healthy hair, skin and nails issues.

I gave it a whirl and while I am still getting used to my pee looking like I have been sucking down the ink from yellow highlighter markers my hair has never looked more fantastic or been more manageable!! It's just awesome and I had to share incase any of y'all have been having similar issues.

I started taking Biotin last spring. I have really noticed a change in my nails. I've always had horrible hangnails and split cuticles. They were always sore, cracked and bleeding!!! But since I started taking Biotin, they look and feel so much healthier! It's really worked for me!!! emoticon
Berta, maybe you need a stronger dose. I noticed it comes in different strengths!

I take Biotin too, because of advice on the RA team. With RA meds. that we have to take, we can tend to lose some hair from time to time. I feel that the Biotin has truly helped me too. My DH got my first bottles of Nexxus shampoo and also the conditioner for troubled hair, and I would say that that helps too. Maybe a combination of these things, plus the good vitamins I take like you do too! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

BONOLICIOUS2, perhaps it is the other B vitamins that is causing the interesting side effect rather than the Biotin. I am also taking B2 with Magnesium for migraines and Zinc, Manganese, and Vitamin E for my poor aching tendons. Still giving me issues, but I am hoping these additional vitamins help!

Ahhhh yes! I am so glad that it is working for you! I was just marveling last night at my own hair and how things have changed. I haven't noticed that um interesting side effect in my own life but I drink so much water that it probably dilutes it? lol ew
