10k Training

I'm currently following a training plan to run 10k.
My last run I was scheduled to cover 2.5 miles. I set out a little nervous that I wouldn't be able to do it, that I'd have to stop and walk. Anyway, before I knew it I had reached the 2.5 miles, I thought what the hell lets keep going! I wanted to see if I could make it to 3.1 miles (5k). Well I did!
I finished in 32:00! That's a pace of 10:20 min/mile! I haven't ran that quick since sometime last year when I was running. In fact my PB for a mile is 10:05 so not far off!
I'm so proud of myself that I managed 5k with no walk breaks, only done this once before and it happened to be in exactly the same time of 32:00.
This has given me so much more confidence in my ability. I know I can achieve anything I set out to do.
I'm absolutely loving this plan and I know I am going to be more than ready to run my 10k race in May next year.
