It's Scary!

I have always been one to get along on 5 to 7 hours of sleep per night. Seldom ever did I get 8 hours of sleep. Since joining Spark People I have begun to realize this is not good and now I've read the following paragraph...................

Not getting the recommended seven and a haf to nine hours of sleep per night raises your risk of colds, flu, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and even cancer. As an example of just how important rest is to health, a University of Chicago study found that men with no risk factors for diabetes were in a pre-diabetic state after just one week of poor sleep.

    Wow. That's scary!!
I'm a TERRIBLE sleeper!
I only get 6 - 6 1/2 avg a nite.
AND I awake 1-3 times during those hours!
I wish I could sleep so much better -
I really do!
I know one way I could improve, I'm sure -
Is quit drinking my diet Pepsi earlier!!
