I may have gotten back to my regular sleep pattern

Monday, November 11, 2013

which would be quite nice, the cat would like it better as well. He won't have to rouse me out of sleep to let him out. Its pretty cold out there even with a load of fur on him. Its down in the 40's at night and about 70 in the day. He rarely goes out in the day because he is sleeping but at night he is consistent. He'll go out in the later afternoon sometimes though to do his thing.

I feel much better now and there is football tonight but watching Miami and Tampa is not so high on my priority list. All we'll here about it how Tampa is the only team that hasn't won a game yet and if I hear anymore about the Miami situation I'll just mentally tune it out. I think the hazing of rookies is a dumb idea really, like you don't have to be mentally and physically tough to play professional sports as it is. (especially football and hockey and other high impact sports.) I do think the player in question Mr. Martin ought to grow a little more of a backbone and tell the other players who were hazing or demanding insane amounts of money that it wasn't going to happen. Rookies make 400,000 or so and players with seniority make millions a lot of the time, so why can't they pay for their own meals and extras is beyond me.

I just read about Atlanta's Mayor telling The Braves the taxpayers aren't going to be on the hook for a new stadium again. They paid for the last one back in 1997, why do you need a new one so soon. Professional Sports all of them (the major baseball, football and basketball anyways) make billions off of TV, Merch, Ticket Prices, Parking, Food so after the first stadium is funded by taxpayers I think the teams ought to be on their own personally. $450 million just for upgrades jeez, NO MORE. I'm still appalled over the Seattle taxpayers rejecting the stadiums and we were on the hook for the demolished Kingdome, Safeco and Century Link Fields. Its horsepucky. I know the NFL is tax exempt so why do they need taxpayers to foot their outrageous stadiums. The government went ahead and authorized the stadiums after the voters specifically said NO by quite the majority. Ridiculous...

I need to go and clean up so I can take a walk and get some exercise in for the day. Later I'm going to read, write and listen to some music. Not sure about dinner yet but there is enough in the fridge to cobble something together.

Sports use to be about the game and the fans. Now it's all about the $$. This is why, I don't put any value in it. The same with politics.

Glad you are rested up. Give a pat on the cat for me and mine. Meow Purr.
