Pushed, Pushy, Push Back?

Monday, November 11, 2013

This next blog a day challenge question is easy for me to answer! emoticon

True or false: I like to be pushed. Elaborate.

False! Perhaps it's my interpretation of the word "push," but I equate it with the "hard sell." My family and close friends know that the quickest way to get my ire up is to try to forcefully convince me to do something in a hurry. I need time to reflect - probably time to make myself believe it might even be my idea! emoticon

Yep, I'm a control freak and a recovering procrastinator. I work on keeping these habits in check.

Oh yes. Push me and I'll dig in even harder just to prove you can't move me!

I don't think you can find many who like to be pushed. We all like to believe it is our own idea or decision. Try to give me a hard sell and I'm outta there!

Yea, I don't like to be pushed either so it's hard for me to relate to people who like it and respond well to it. But whatever works, right? Hope you are having a great night.

I liked to pushed but only if it's in the direction I'm already headed.

It's not a good idea, until it's MY idea....... I so understand. ;-)

    SO right on! Marianne......

I found this out when I made up my stop smoking....
I had been *pushed* at for years by lots of people.....and that did NOTHING but to make me more determined to do WHAT I wanted to do~~NOT what everyone else thought I should do!

When I stop WAS ME who decided....for my own reasons....
AND it was fairly easy to do once I MADE up my mind to do it.....

I STILL hate though when people say~~Oh you MUST feel so much better! Because you stopped smoking~~
BUT I DON"T....I have put on weight that is holding me back health & exercise wise way more than my smoking ever did! GO figure eh?

Starting again after 2 yrs is NOT an option...THAT too is MY decision!

Yes, we all have our own ways! I don't mind a gentle push from others, but I prefer to push myself!

We all have our own ways. If I have a deadline, it gets done quicker and more things get done. I always accomplished more when I had time constraints. Thank goodness I do not have those constraints today, I could not make it like I did in my younger days. No lung capacity anymore.
