Time to pat myself on the back

Being on my own case is never helpful. It is very subtle, but usually starts with an emphasis on what I am not doing. It never looks at what I have accomplished. Pretty soon, feeling defeated, I am doing less and less though not always recognizing it. I don't celebrate successes, I am too busy looking at what still needs done.
So today I am stepping back and gaining some speed for what lays ahead by seeing what I have accomplished, rather than where I have not. I am not going to use the word failed because I am not finished yet. We are all works in progress and the journey is important. I thank God for where I am at, rather than emphasize where I have not yet arrived. I see all my blessings, which are many. I remind myself He has gotten me here, gently with kindness, and I will be gentle and kind to myself. Encouragement goes a long way. Today be kind and gentle to yourself and look at where you have come to rather than where you are not. See what you have rather what you have lost. Celebrate your success. Today is a new day and you have learned many things. You are not where you were once. There is always more to learn and more to celebrate.
