Going Somewhat Paleo

Starting tomorrow I will be embarking on another path of my weight loss journey. I will be changing my diet to my version of a paleo diet. I have been having stomach issues for the past 3 or 4 years and read that following this diet lifestyle might be what I need to do to find relief.
If you haven’t heard of a paleo diet before, it’s a diet that is based on eating foods that our bodies were designed for through thousands of years of evolution. You eat foods that you are able to get through hunting and gathering. The diet will consist of me eating meats, vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and healthy fats. I will be avoiding grains, legumes, processed dairy, processed foods, alcohol, soy oils and seed oils.
I know that it sounds extreme, but I will be having one day a month for a cheat meal to help with the cravings that I know I will have. For this month I will be having a cheat meal on you guessed it, Thanksgiving. I am being realistic about this new adventure that I am embarking on. I am not treating this like a diet that I can get off and on, but a lifestyle change.
