What music do you listen to when you work out?

Sunday, November 10, 2013

I know, I am in my fifty's and I still rock and roll old school. LOL! Right now, while I'm treadmilling, I listen to 1990's band Slaughter. Start with 1. Reach for the sky 2. The wild life 3. Move to the music 4. Real love 5. Shake this place 6. Street of broken hearts 7. Do Ya Know (listen to twice) Before you know it, I have walked little over a mile. Here's the words that inspire me...

It's an illusion in your mind
Imagination runs wild
Well are you satisfied 'cause the picture you paint is so blue
Or do you close your eyes to live the other side
When you're lookin' in the mirror there is no one in sight

Do you really know who you are
So ya wanna change your life
Do you really know who you are
'Cause you're gonna have to face it

Tell me why
Why do you cry out in vain
Lost in confusion, is your game
Well are you satisfied 'cause the picture you paint is so blue
Or do you close your eyes to live the other side
When you're lookin' in the mirror there is no one in sight

Do you really know who you are
So ya wanna change your life
Do you really know who you are
'Cause you're gonna have to face it

You won't remember what you've done
And now you live life on the run

Do you really know who you are
So ya wanna change your life
Do you really know who you are
'Cause you're gonna have to face it

Share your tunes. Think it would be fun to find out what inspires you.

Okay, I'll admit it, I still ADORE disco, LOL. Reminds me of high school and good times. When I am mad I listen to Spanish music. There's something about the beat and the fact that my brain doesn't have to process the words to the lyrics that makes me feel better.

The first concert I ever attended was Led Zeppelin and I still have a soft spot for their music. I also LOVE the genre of Teddy Pendergrass, Al Green, Marvin Gaye....
oh I could go on and on. Music is the background of our lives, isn't it.

Love, Ginger

I like Slaughter too sometimes! I have made my own workout mix CD....it has Heart, Bon Jovi, Metallica (my fave), Ratt, and Poison, to name a few.

I have never heard of this band, will have to check out some Utube or something.
I am a died in the wool 70's and 80's music lover. Anything from ABBA to Zeppelin. But for working out, I really like fast paced music with a beat (because I like high intensity) like Walking On Sunshine, Blue (Da Ba Dee) Karma Chameleon, Legs (Lots by ZZTop) Eye Of The Tiger, Can't Get No Satisfaction.
I am in my 50's as well and just like rocking it :) I am always inspired to clean faster, workout harder and just give it more zip when listening to music!

emoticon I love 70's, 80's and 90's music! I have to have music to workout if I am running or walking outside. I love music that has emotion and gets your heart pumping! Rock n Roll has always done that for me! emoticon emoticon
