Pretty consistent week

This week was better than the last. I think I walked every day but one. I'm aiming at maybe one more week of walking before starting a Couch to 5K program. I will also join a fitness center membership through insurance on Friday. I'm traveling during the early part of the week, so I want to get started with a membership when I can start to use it.

This week will be a challenge, in that I will be traveling for a series of meetings. A couple of danger spots, it is hard to motivate to work out after a long day of travel and meetings. I'll be with a good group of people who will want to have some worthwhile dining (and yes, drinking) experiences. I'm pretty confident that I can order properly and pace myself well with the food. Just worried about the whole package (diet/fitness) working together.

Didn't lose big weight this week, but I actually feel noticeably well.

    Overall it sounds like you've made a good start.
Have you used the SparkPeople calorie tracker to help you determine the number of calories you should eat each day?
Also, as with anyone starting an exercise program, have you talked it over with your doctor?

    Can you get up early enough to work out before your meetings? That has worked out well for me when I am on the road.
