New car and Me

Saturday, November 09, 2013

One of the 'joys' of getting a 'new to us' car is relearning old habits. i.e. instead of going to the right to open a window, have to go to the left (controls are center w/ stick shift).

Ended up hitting my head on the opened hatch while reaching in to retrieve a bag of library books I was returning to library. Evidently, the thing weighing a ton NEEDS to be up all the way.

Hurt so bad, I teared up, said a bad word (a lady walking by glared at me) and while rubbing my head, I began to pray. The LAST thing I want to do is go back to the Chiro!

I returned the books with tears in my eyes hoping no one would notice. Scooped up about 15 holiday paperbacks. Yippee.

Head is sore to the touch; so not touching. Duh! However, it aggravated all my sore spots from my neck and back. Spent the afternoon dealing with pain management. Pain makes me exhausted. So... ended up reading one of the library books.

Awwww. Hugs. So sorry about the bump to the head. That so sounds like something I would do. We just recently got a "new to us" car too. It is funny relearning everything. I keep putting the back windows down. The car has push button windows and the closest one to me is the back ones, so when I go to put the window down it's the back. I love holiday romances, Christmas music of which I have been playing for a month. Love Christmas just not all the stress.

Here's a strange idea, suggestion... have you ever considered acupuncture for treating any of your conditions?
In my area, there are 2 different community supported acupuncture clinics which offer sliding scale payments to make it both accessible and affordable.

I have been amazingly surprised at both the benefit and effect on a wide variety of issues. Check it out!

Sorry about that head bump! Hope you feel better tomorrow. Enjoy those books! I've got several holiday books downloaded on my Kindle for the reading too. Love them! Do you have a favorite author?
