As we were running the inaugural Lakeland Red Ribbon Half Marathon, some of the people whose neighborhoods we ran through really got into it. There were some great signs. My favorite, though, was the family that gave out ice cold paper towels around mile 10 to the runners. You can see it was just what I needed at the time:

Here's some cheering kids. I was very surprised how many people cheered us on. It really makes it more fun!!
