Wk 135 Weigh In

Saturday, November 09, 2013

So another week has passed. I hope everyone had a really nice Guy Fawkes day (5th of November). If you don't know, you should read up on it and then watch the movie V for Vendetta.

I'm going to keep this short, primarily because I don't feel like typing a whole bunch of stuff today. Nothing wrong, just not "feeling" the typing thing right now.

So I had a decent week, could always be better (an apocalypse, zombies, etc.). But I did lose a tiny amount of weight this week so that was good. I've blathered on long enough, let's look at the numbers.

Weight : 213.0
Lost : 0.4
Total : 107.0

So there you have it, 0.4 lost this week. Seems to be a pattern, lose 0.4, maintain, lose 0.4, maintain... I suppose it's better then gaining 0.4 every other week!

That's it for today, now go do something useful with yourself instead of sitting here reading blog posts!

Hey, glad you posted this cuz I have been wanting to ask this question but keep forgetting to ask:
Would you mind letting me know what kind of scale you use (like brand name) and where ya got it?

My bathroom scale is digital and only reads pounds and half pounds. So, if I actually lost 1. 04 pounds, or just .04, my .04 will remain unbeknownst to me. Can you imagine all of the past joys I have missed out on becuz of my antiquated scale?!!! No wonder I only write gloomy blogs. emoticon

Anyway, please HELP me find my truth!!! emoticon

Well done, a loss is a loss and that is what you are after it is not. Maintaining just gives your body time to catch up with the new you.

emoticon I always laugh when I read your posts, thank you!
And I think 0.4 is awesome... even with the maintaining! Many people who are stuck (like me at the moment) would be delighted to loose 0.4 per week!
    So... emoticon

    You lost it...I found it.

And as for your zombie references...II finally watched my first episode of "The Walking Dead" ever. Jumping into this series a few seasons late. Not sure what to think...holding off judgement so far (because so far it looks pretty stupid) but will give it another shot because nothing else is on.

Keep up the good fight. The .4s add up...as you well know. (And they add in both directions as I've been discovering...blech!!)

I'd never heard of Guy Hawkes - bonfires and sparklers are always fun though. Great that you're still making progress and maintaining your amazing loss.

I used to love Guy Fawkes as a child. It came just before my birthday and was like I got a special celebration. Dad would hammer some nails in to the decorative screen on the front of the house. We would buy Tom Thumbs and Sparklers. Dad would buy the sky rockets and the Kathryn Wheels.

Having to wait till dark was the hardest thing. Then we would all go outside and watch the amazing wonderful show. Sky rockets stood in milk bottles shooting up into the sky and raining down a rainbow of stars. They had to be lit one after the other. Then the wheels and then the ones that just stood up eg Bridal Veil. In between my brothers would light up the Tom thumbs etc.

We obeyed the rules or we didn't get to watch -safety with matches etc. The whole neighbourhood was lit up . Now days it is just used for celebration at an event like New Year.

ah a time gone by. Not practised in homes in Australia for obvious reasons. Guy Fawkes is usually a time of bush fires.

The idea behind it is tempting today though :)

    Great loss congrats.
