Blog Challenge- Day 10

Saturday, November 09, 2013

10. What are the ways in which you are "slippery" and might cheat yourself in your efforts to reach your short- or medium-term goal or challenge?

I guess by "slippery" they really mean dishonest. I can say I will run or ST regularly, but if I don't get moving and do it, then I suppose I am letting things slide. As for food... letting myself have a bite here and a bite there without tracking it means I am lying to myself about what I am actually eating. I have mostly stopped doing this, but I have been known to say it is just one bite... And then there is the social aspect of my life, where I have been known to put off talking to people until "tomorrow", and we all know tomorrow never really comes.

My run yesterday wasn't much fun. My new top worked pretty well at first at keeping me warm, but it started raining (with a little snow mixed in), and getting wet meant I got cold. I hate being cold! And I forgot to put gloves on so my fingers froze. Today would have been a much better day for it, since it was a milder, drier day. Cooper got the all clear from the vet this morning, and then I went to my parents' house and made stuffed squash. I liked it, but my dad said it was a little bland. I didn't put a lot of seasoning in the stuffing, as I was more concerned about texture. The texture was fabulous, but it could have used more garlic, and maybe some sage.

live and learn. next time you won't forget your gloves, (I hate being cold too) and now that the stuffing texture is right, you work on adding the 'savory' - I'm sure it will be wonderful.
