I started to drink coffee since I was 18, ever since I was completely hooked. I started out with just one cup a day, then it progressed to 2.. then 3, and so on. Every year I try to quit my coffee obsession at least four times, but have always failed. I got very irritable and had bad headaches when I stopped drinking coffee. I would simply "give in" after about a week of no coffee consumption.
That all changed when recently I became vegan and took my vitamins for seriously (also quit coffee as well). I now have been taking my vitamin B12 and Iron pills every day and noticed a HUGE difference in my energy levels without drinking coffee!
This had me thinking... is this what my body REALLY needed and was trying to tell me this whole time? Even when I was a meat eater I would rarely eat red meat, and I know I didn't eat enough foods that had those vitamins in it. I've probably been deficient in Vitamin B12 and iron for a long long time and didn't even realize.
I bet some of those coffee drinkers are also deficient as well.
ask yourself, do you eat enough foods that contain vitamin B12 and Iron everyday? -Here is a list for you!
5. Beef, grass fed
8. Cow's milk, grass fed
1. Red Meat
2. Egg yolk
3. Dark Leafy Greens
