We are having ooler weather, but I know it will not last very long. I am enjoying it as I am ready for my cooler weather foods. I did make a soup the other night using a soup bone with some meat on it. It really made a richer soup so I will be doing that more when using beef in my soup. I used celery, onion and carrots, along with spices and herbs. I added diced tomatoes and black beans and then let it simmer. Just before serving I added some cooked small pasts. Hubby lied it and so did Coco. Hubby had finished his dinner and I was full. There was a little in my bowl that I was going to save for my lunch the next day. I got up and went into another room first. Miss Coco jumped up in my chair and started lapping up my remains. It was a funny sight as she knew she was in the wrong and she was watching out of the corner of her eye for me to come back into the room. When she spotted me she started lapping faster before she jumped down and ran into the kitchen and peeking around the corner as she knew she was in trouble. Finally I dug out the little beef and the pasta and gave it to her. I was worried because of the onions in the part she got on her own.

I am ready for some chilli and some other spicy soups and stews. We are planning a chicken dumpling soup for one evening next week
