So my lungs are good, asthma under control. Dr. Lawton very happy and I will return in 6 months for my yearly breathing test. He gave me a bunch of samples because I have been on Symbiacort for a long time and it cost $140 but it would be free if he had a generic I could use. Instead he gave me 4 months worth of samples of Dulera to try out. If it works well, I will using that inhaler from now on. Then none of my medications will cost anything through my husbands insurance.
I also had some good news. I am only doing my weight when I go to the doctors office. In this way I won't get obsessed about my weight and since my scale battery is dead, I have decided not to replace it for a while. I did notice my pants weren't as tight, so I was pleased to see I had lost a few pounds. I am now at 203.6.
So I restarted with Sparks at 210 and it has been real slow only lost 2 pounds for the longest time. Now close to 7 pounds and I like that. When I originally started using Sparks in Nov. 2009, I was 204 and I eventually got down to 143. Kept it off for a bit, then I injured myself and had ankle surgery in Dec. 2012. During 2012 the weight slowly came back on, then I got a bit depressed because our home remodeling was taking so long and costing more than we accounted for. Things are pretty much back to normal now and I am feeling a lot better. I am sure the exercising is helping with the depression.
Going bowling this evening with Rosa (my neighbor) and her two daughter's Christy 22 yrs old and Frida 13 yrs old. They call me "Grandma Corvette", which I think is pretty funny. I don't have any grand kids of my own and they are like family. Frida has been helping me bake Christmas goodies since she was around 3 or 4 yrs old. Frank was going to go with us before his work tonight but they asked him to come in early. They are doing safety checks with OHSA I guess this weekend. He is sort of glad because he will work 5pm-10pm get paid for 8 hours and be home in the morning to see his sister without having to sleep all day.
Waiting for the Maytag man to bring a replacement part for my refrigerator that Is about 3 yrs old now. A plastic piece broke off and attaches the pop up drawer, but you can't just replace that little piece. It is attache to a larger part. Sort of mad because we have not had good luck with this refrigerator (ice maker problems 3 times). Tan our MayTag guy is great. What I did was send him a couple of pictures from my cell to his cell, so he would know exactly what had broken. He was pretty sure because he has the same frig but the pictures helped him and he thought that was a great idea on my part. He will be here soon. So off to start ironing sheets that were put off from yesterday.
