Today was a wet rainy day, but that didn't stop me - out the door I went with Dalhouise for a hour walk. One thing I notice about Dalhouise is that he likes to stop and smell the flowers.. Then he lifts a leg..
Walking over the river on the bridge - it is in a raging flow and so muddy that I can't see any fish as I look down and definitely there is no one is fishing, I wonder if the salmon still try to go up stream when it is so turbulent.
Later in a tributary where the water is calm I was able to see several large salmon. You read about the salmon laying their eggs and then die - then these bodies give nourishment to the soil for everything else to have life a wonderful cycle of life .. what they don't tell you is that it smells. It reeks - it stinks the stench is horrid.
My first ever event is now under my belt. I met many people and was so surprised when Noni and I were approached from a parent of two children that go to Camp Summit and who recognized us as the cooks. What a small - small world.
We played a get to know you game that was fun - then at launch time someone held up a screen and we all watched the Space shuttle that carried the TB head into space. We all gave a cheer..
Some interesting caches that we found
