Horray for Halloween clearance!

Thursday, November 07, 2013

I got this nifty water tumbler on clearance for like $1.

I was pretty excited. I was eyeballing it before Halloween, but I didn't "need" it, so I talked myself out of it. But on clearance? Oh yes, I think so. What sort of person doesn't want their water tumbler to say they're drinking poison?!?! So yeah, had to have it. Now it just has to take a tumble... haha... through the dishwasher, and then I have a new water cup.

That was pretty much the health highlight of the day. We had Chinese... not healthy. But I was thinking about health and got the water cup, so that counts for something, right?

Grocery shopping was rather uneventful, as grocery shopping goes. The one thing {not food} I wanted to get was a Christmas rug for the kitchen and I couldn't find one. Grrr. I didn't really find anything exciting to take it's place, either. It's no fun to go grocery shopping and only come home with groceries!

I did treat myself to a couple magazines, though, which I am going to curl up with now. Hope everyone had a happy Thursday!

Hi! I missed this yesterday. We got a few things from Halloween clearance too. I got some glow in the dark lotion and toothpaste LOL. Also some red and blue hair coloring. Think I'm going to dress as a patriotic American next year, something like that. Did I tell you DH won a bottle of wine for us by winning his costume category? Anyway, have a great weekend!!

I love bargains too!! DD and I just came home,, Kroger had a great sale.. buy a boneless arm roast , get one free.. cereals for $2, domino sugar bags for $1.99, but the shelf was empty, so I sent DD to the service desk for a major rain check.. for ten bags of sugar.. that is 20 cents a pound!!

We also got our onions, milk, carb wise yogurt and a sale on french cut green beans for casserole in three weeks.. it is our dish to take to dinner at our friend's house. We also got pineapples for $1 each, bread, tissues..
they had Kroger brand lancets on sale too, but empty shelf again,, tomorrow is the truck delivery, so I will be there with bells on on my way to the fruit market for more fruits and veggies.Tomorrow is baked apples in the crock pot...

We splurged and got new shower puffs for $.50/each. One of your deals:They were on sale for $2 for months, they did not unload them, so today it was a miracle, a half buck each!! Cheaper than the dollar store that I never go to anyway...except for greeting cards...
