The fortnight of a joyful quitter

Thursday, November 07, 2013

So yes... It's been two weeks since I was here!

I don't know if I have very much to say, as I've been slacking a little - I went to visit my sister and have been relishing the joys of not going to work every day.

I've been getting so much freelance work since I quit my day job that I have had to turn a few things down. I'm wondering why I didn't do this ages ago! Fear will get you literally NOWHERE!

I haven't seen the work-boy at all - we were always on different shifts so I didn't get to see him and I can't find him online. I am contemplating asking a mutual friend for his number but I think it would be awkward.

I have been communicating with some old friends through email though which I'm proud of. I definitely think I'm getting more confident. I know its easier over the internet than in reality though.

What I'm really happy with is my workouts! I'm so delighted that my hard work is starting to pay off. Today I did more than I could have done in a day even maybe just a few months ago.

- Cycled 6 miles
- Walked 3 miles
- Sprints
- Farmers' walks with 100lbs of weight (this is so good for the core)
- 160lbs squats
- Pull ups (3 consecutive!)
- Push ups (total of 113!)
- Headstands (I can kick up into one from the floor! Where did that skill come from?! I haven't been practicing! I think its my arms getting stronger!)
- Backwards roll (Used to be TERRIFIED of these, but I did one accidentally getting out of a headstand and now I can just do them! Wheeee!)

So yeah... I am basically just basking in my own glory - I'm sorry! But I have come so far and its so much fun feeling like I'm getting stronger. :)

Hope I can spread some of this contentment around, let me know if you need any spare cheerfulness - I have bags at the moment, long may it last!
