Day 221 - Date with my Husband!

Thursday, November 07, 2013

My husband decided to play hooky from his work today so that he can renew his driver's license and get his oil changed. I decided to go with him just for the companionship...he didn't understand.

He said, "I'm going to the driver's license facility. Why do you want to come with me? It will be long waiting and boring."

I said, "But I will be with you to keep you company!"

We waited at the DMV for about 40 minutes but we had a great conversation! Afterwards, we drove to his dealership to get his free oil change. After that, we went to Denny's!

I was actually surprised that he even agreed to go out to a sit down restaurant with me! He is not one to go out. He prefers staying home in his little comfort zone and chilling on the computer or doing yard work...which he planned on doing. But the weather turned ugly which could have influenced his decision to go to Denny's with me!

We had such a good time! We rarely go out together without the kids and it was such a treat just spending time with my husband! I just don't know if he really understands how much it means to me to just spend quality time together even if it means sitting together at the DMV!

However, I ate too much! LOL

Skipping dinner, but maybe later, after work at 9 pm, I might eat a piece of fruit before heading to bed.

Definitely a treadmill day for tomorrow since I blew it off today!!!
