Yesterday, due to the rain, I elected to walk home from work. It was a wonderful misty day and my feet just wanted to go fast. Have you ever seen the movie "The Red Shoes" where this ballerina gets these red ballet shoes and she keeps dancing and dancing until she is so exhausted? Well it was kind of like that only I wasn't exhausted I was invigorated from the mist. I didn't even bother running down any of the hills because I just felt so darn good already. I also picked up returnables on the side of the road at the same time and ended up carting home $2.00 worth that I will add to my clothing fund. I walked 3 miles in 1 hour 20 minutes and I felt fabulous.

Today I took my bike to school since it was not going to rain. It was windy though and the first 1/3 of my ride I was pedaling into the wind. Didn't get cold though because I was pedaling so hard. Once I turned the corner and the wind wasn't coming straight at me I was flying down the road and it felt fabulous! By the time I got home DD had the car all loaded up with the weekly recycling and we were off to run our errands and get groceries.

Also today I had 4 people make comments about how loose my pants are on me. I've got my new jeans that I'll be wearing Friday since we are allowed to wear jeans then. I'm pretty excited to show them off. I'll need to get some different pants this weekend and retire the ones I've been wearing. I really thought I could get by with what I already have but I find myself pulling them up throughout the day because they are so saggy. I'll look tomorrow after work. Just a couple new pairs should be alright and not break my budget.

I love my life.

Have you considered having your pants altered ? I have done that with favs I have that I don't want to give up. A good taylor that doesn't charge an arm or a leg can save you money sometimes.

Big congrats!! There's nothing like the feeling of having to buy new clothes because your old ones are too BIG instead of too tight! emoticon
