Away for work!

Thursday, November 07, 2013

What a stressful week it had been! Started on Friday when I got into a car accident while coming home from work - got hit by a man who was in a hurry to get to his resort!! It has been a frustrating time, as the other person was in a rental car and now his insurance can not reach him by phone, he has never called in a claim either - then they tell me that there are also concerns about his coverage! emoticon My insurance have now been to assess my car, are getting the police report and now we are getting the car repaired under our insurance. Now have to pay for a rental and my deductible!
Then I heard that we are getting an employee recognition award - it is a bonus check, so guess where mine is going??? emoticon
Then yesterday I was to fly to Utah for work and guess ticket got messed up! Eventually got on a later flight and am now in Utah for training for work. Am trying to stay on track, but food is provided! There is an exercise room which I am planning on visiting in the morning before my next session.
On a bright note.....there is a nurse at this training that is from California and we worked together about 10 years ago!!!

Sorry to hear about your accident. Glad you are ok though. What hospital are you training with here in Utah? My hubby is a med tech in the lab on graves at LDS hospital. How long are you staying for training. Wished I could of seen this sooner I could of made some plans to meet you. Now the rest of my week is taken by appointments and errands. :( .... have a good stay while here. emoticon

Aren't you glad that you got a bonus check to pay for the damages? And whether food is provided or not, I always pack my lunch. It is much safer and if it makes others uncomfortable that I am not eating with them, that is their problem, not mine.

You are doing well. Have fun catching up on old times with your former coworker!

Smart choice to use the exercise room. As for the food, try to make smarter choices and drink a lot of water.

It's weird sometimes how there can be bad stuff... and then good stuff to sort of balance it out. Glad you weren't hurt in the accident!

What a happy coincidence, that someone you previously worked with is at the same training! I reckon if you choose wisely from the food provided, and utilize the exercise room, that will all work out okay too.
