It's been a busy day, well, week . . .

Yesterday I did the ViniYoga dvd for upper back, neck & shoulders and really felt it . . . I just haven't had time to do the review yet . . . and probably that won't happen until next week.

DH is taking a couple days off. When he asked me what I wanted for my birthday (I'm 61 on Friday) present this year, I said YOU! I can't think of anything I'd rather have than time with him. So tomorrow we're planning to drive to the big city and have lunch at a hamburger joint recently featured in one of the cycle magazines and have some time together. We always have fun.

Today I stopped in to see a friend who volunteers at a senior thrift store. After we chatted a bit, I started looking around the store. (Did I mention that I hate to shop?!) I found several books for 25 cents each (same books on Amazon for $19!)

One of the things I'm gonna start doing is making bags (embellished grocery totes, etc.). I've acquired several and use them all the time . . . but they're just plain and boring. I've been looking at fabric and everything is SO expensive and I didn't like the fabric. Well, today walking through the thrift store, I happened to notice a dress made out of this really cute fabric. It was one of those long 'super size' tent dresses and I knew there'd be plenty material to make at least one bag, if not two.

When I took the dress and books up to the register, I mentioned I didn't see a price tag on the dress. "All dresses are $2 a piece . . . . or eight for $5." Eight for five dollars!!!! I hit the rack again and there were several similar dresses in all sorts of denim!! Woohoo! I really hit the jackpot!

But my treasure for today was a brand new Michael Kors hobo leather handbag for $2 . . .

yes, like the one for $1195 on their website.

Be still my heart!
