Day 6 of Thankfulness

I am thankful for my warm cozy home. I know there are a lot who are not as fortunate as we are.

The winter pattern has set in for Washington. Today is another cool damp day and from the sound of the forecast it is going to get colder. Winter is not my favorite season and I am still not used to it getting dark so early.

I did my strength training yesterday. I can tell I need it. Since getting back to it I am starting to feel some soreness from laying off it for so long. Today I did my walking. I am still having trouble staying on track with my food but am doing better. It is so easy to revert to old habits and so hard to get back on track!

    Boy, can I ever identify with EVERYthing you talked about! Yes, gratitude for a warm and safe space, and prayers for those without those blessings...

Strength training is something I also neglected over the summer ...and autumn...:( ...and it's actually on my list today to post an activity schedule that includes 2 ST sessions a week. As for the winter, yup, we're moving in that direction in MD, too, though more slowly than normal.

Now, as for old habits, well I don't want to talk about it. emoticon

This is a new day, though, and we've SO much for which to be grateful. Thank you for your comments on my new photos - always wonderful to see your puppy on my page!

    It's raining here and the wind is going to start blowing soon. There is a chill in the air and I can feel colder weather coming in off of the ocean.

Yes we are thankful for the warmth of our homes and how fortunate we are as most don't have a home and some not even a blanket to keep them warm.

    You are 100% right...easy to revert to old habits and so hard to get back on track! Winter can be harsh, but it's a great time for parties!

    emoticon Just think how much better we will feel once we are back with Strength training. I have my little gym in the basement. I dumped the old tread mill an hoped for a new one. I am waiting and hoping our youngest son and family will be living in Maine. The only way they can do this is to live with us till they find a house. That means my gym will be a bedroom again.
Think positive about getting on track. I stay on track but without the ST no matter how far I walk I do not use as many calories as ST. GO FOR IT emoticon emoticon
