Confused about Calories

Just read that a runner training for a 5K or 10K should aim for no more than a 300 calorie deficit per day, to avoid sending your body into starvation mode. Agree or disagree?

I ask because lately I've had calorie deficits of over 600 calories several days this week. Should I be eating more?

I would really like to lose a pound a week on average. That said, I understand that weight fluctuates based on many different factors. I just don't want to sabotage my weight loss by eating too little.

    I would stay within your personal calorie range. If you aren't losing weight in a month, change it just a bit. With a lot of exercise, you should increase your loss!

    If you are working out more than recommended on the Spark tracker, then input that info into your profile - it'll increase your caloric range.

    i would aim for the recommended calorie range set for u. i think on the start page u can edit your goals and make it to active so that it automatically recalculate ur caloric need for the day based on the fitness minutes/calories burned that u entered.
