Halloween, a trip to the mountains, and some major changes at work! All good! All keeping me very busy!
We had a great Halloween! Both kids got to trick or treat, and were terribly cute! I had a minor success while walking around our extremely hilly neighborhood. As my neighbor huffed and puffed up the big hills, I noticed that I was still talking and walking with no problem! All my exercising is paying off!
Friday, we headed up to the mountains for a weekend getaway with the family. It was absolutely gorgeous! The leaves were the most beautiful shades of red, yellow and gold! The weather was perfect for sitting by the fireplace and enjoying the outdoors. I won't say it was relaxing, since we have a toddler and 6 year old. Matthew was less that cooperative when it came to sleeping soundly. But it was a nice trip and WAY too short!
Finally...I came back to work on Monday to a whole new ballgame! Our VP of sales, whom I've worked for for the past 9 years has left. He'd been with the company for 20 years, but has decided to move on. This has opened an entirely new door for me. I am now directly under our CEO, and will be taking on some more responsibilities and enhancing my career! I'm excited about my role here, which is something I haven't felt in a LONG time. Today, I'm meeting with our CEO to discuss some of my ideas that he wants to implement. I'm also talking to him about compensation and what I'm hoping for and expecting!
So, all in all, it's been a crazy few days. But all good! It also means I've been a little less than active with Sparkpeople. While away, I vowed to remove myself from my computer. And I've been so busy with meetings, I've been unable to stop and take a minute to log in. But I'm back now!
