Happy Election Day, Americans!

Tuesday, November 05, 2013

The highlight of my day was seeing people at the polls. As in... dh and I were not the only two people voting. Love to see election turnout. Good stuff.

Today has been a so-so day. I woke up with pain in my foot this morning and knew going for a walk would be a bad idea. So... bah. I was really looking forward to getting in a 3rd day, but my body {foot} had other ideas. Walking again would probably have left me unable to walk at all tomorrow, and that would be bad. So, it has been a lazy day.

I haven't done anything wild and crazy with food, though. I've had a little more food than I should, but nothing bad. I made the potato chowder today and it turned out fabulously. Definitely worth almost cutting my finger off trying to fix it yesterday. I should have put some chicken in it, though. I was hungry again too fast after just having the chowder. I made a note on the recipe to add chicken next time, get in a protein boost.

My belly has been a little upset this evening so I've been sipping on herbal tea to soothe it, and it's helping. The rest of the night will be spent watching the election results, and then settling down with my book until I'm ready to go to sleep. Hopefully I'll wake up in the morning with a happy foot and belly.

Hope everyone had a great Tuesday!
