Demotivated - day 5 blog

5. What demotivates you and takes you off your fitness and health goals?
My thinking gets in my way. Keeping my goal to be about health has always been an issue. I am strongly motivated by what the scale says. If it is on the rise, I get concerned and eat well. But as soon as the scale drops to a certain point, I will eat things that aren't good for me. Those are the days I am not motivated to eat well. I am working to make this a health issue more than a "looks" issue.

    You're not alone in this. That's how all that "yo-yo-ing" happens.
At least you've got the scale so when the numbers rise you can get back on track.

    I think you know that I belong to a lay Catholic community. One of our "in" jokes is that we should cut off our heads so we don't think too much. Once we think too much we start to rationalize how we act to others, when in fact, we should always be spontaneous in loving the people whose paths we cross and to not think to hard about it.
