Day 219 - Making Progress!

I am officially below 175 pounds! emoticon I reached my incremental goal! Since I started this weight loss journey, my original weigh in was 207 pounds, which is just an odd number for me. I like the increments of 5. Well, I found it easier for me if I make my incremental goals land on either a 0 or a 5 on the scale...and on a 0 or a 5 on the pounds lost (which would fall on the 2 or the 7 on the scale) So my next incremental goal is to lose 35 pounds which would put me at 172 pounds. This is keeping me going...goal increments of 2 - 3 pounds.

I decided to leave my last night's frustrations go, took my hot bath, and promptly fell into a nice, peaceful sleep! I did get up a little too early when the rest of the family got up to do their morning rituals...

I decided to get on that treadmill (with my new jogging shoes) and just run! emoticon I did 3.5 miles of jogging and running, with a little walking after the running and .5 miles of walking on various incline levels.

I feel great!!! emoticon

Tonight, I am working 3rd shift but I don't mind since I can literally sleep on the job! I work in a residential group home and all the clients will be sleeping. There is a staff bedroom. My job is to be able to wake up if there are any emergencies. Each client has a pull cord by their beds and in their bathrooms if anything should happen. Typically, they never have problems, so I am anticipating a nice, relaxing sleep...on the job!!! emoticon But I have to be up by 6 am to start their morning breakfast and meds. Boo!

Well, lots to do before now and then...

    You and I are on the same track! When I joined I was 207 and just today I'm under 175! Yay us! emoticon
