What are the reasons behind my fitness goal?

What are the reasons behind my fitness goal? I had to think about this for a few minutes. It started when I had to put on a pretty dress for a military formal, and wasn't happy with the way I looked. I was tired of having to settle for outfits that would suit my body size.

But I think my goals go deeper than that. I don't like being out of control of my weight and health. I feel a little guilty for not taking care of myself. My blood pressure was going up. I was gaining a few pounds every year. It was just another area of my life that I was not being responsible for.

I've been at it now for about 9 months. I had some hard months in the middle, but I feel like I'm still on track. I've lost about 15 pounds, and I've gone down about a size and a half. I feel good again. I'm motivated to stay active. I am challenged to find recipes that are healthy and delicious.

So the main reason behind my fitness goal is that I can feel good about being able to discipline myself in regard to my health. I'm not giving up anymore. It's not all that hard.
