Day 218 - Job Interview and internet providers...
Monday, November 04, 2013
My job interview went quite well! The job seems to be up my alley but unfortunately the pay is not. Boo...
The position I applied for last Friday at my company is $10,000 more per year than this job.
So, now I am hoping to get the job from my work. Hopefully I will know soon. However, I did tell the woman that I am still interested in this position (just in case I do not get the one at my work...) and to keep me in mind.
I lost another half pound! I am .2 pounds away from a mini goal. Boo! That could take a week to lose that .2 lbs!!!
Severely frustrated with my new internet service provider! I was in near tears and turning into an almost screaming maniac! My original internet provider also contained our land line phones. I recently cancelled the land line...why pay money for telemarketers to harass us??? I boosted our internet speed in the process and they just could not deliver. The internet speed considerably slowed down...so I switched providers.
The equipment came in today and with executing the right wires to the right splicers were we able to get the internet working. (3 tvs and 1 computer to hook up to the cables without losing signals).
The "fun" part came when the username and password was unrecognizable and I could not add any wireless gadgets such as my iPad. About 15 technicians and 3 hours later, some yelling in frustration, etc...was where finally a technician was able to just take over my computer remotely and FIX the problem!!!
I am exhausted! And I am sure I will not sleep well tonight because of all this stress...and then because I am tired in the morning, I will not eat right, thus not lose that .2 lbs for the duration of a week!
I am already fretting over getting the kids' laptops working on the wireless...not to mention the Xbox online thing... My son is anxiously awaiting for midnight to purchase the newest, hottest gaming so that he can play it ASAP! I just hope that the gaming live works...
At least the main computer works, and it works fast! The old provider took 90 minutes to upload a 45 second video whereas this new provider only took maybe 3 minutes!!! Yay!!!
Well, I am now going to take a hot bath and hope that sleep would take over relatively soon!
