Hello everyone! This is my first blog here and I plan on doing daily blogs or vlogs.

Let me tell you all a bit about myself even though it is on my page! I am 25 years old(26 in December) and I cannot remember a time when I was skinny. As far as I can remember, I have been obese. I was teased, a lot, at school and just going outside. This caused me to quit school in the 6th grade after I was released from a mental health facility for attempted suicide when I was about 12. I did get my GED and graduated from college, but because of my childhood I have struggled a lot. Mostly, I have struggled with depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. I am on medication for my anxiety and depression and have a hard time even going to the grocery store to buy milk. Because of my weight, I also have problems with my knees and joints because of the pressure.

However, I am extremely hopeful that this journey will help me overcome my health issues. I know it will be a slow process, but I know I can do it! My first goal is to lose 20 lbs which would put me at 240 lbs by January 2014. I know with dedication and hard work, I can make my first goal and many more after.

I was unable to start my workout today, but I am going to start, bright and early in the morning, my Focus T25 workout. I look forward to it and hope you all with join me on this journey to a healthier us!

    Way to go for stepping up and taking control! Don't give up any time you need help, a listening ear, support etc....SP is here for you.

    Congrats on finding the courage to "reach out" to your fellow Sparkers! We all believe in you, and we know you can do it!!! Just take every meal, every workout, every challenge one step at a time. Losing weight isn't about being "perfect," it's about making small changes that create BIG results. I just started P90X, so if you need encouragement, remember we're counting on you b/c we're all in this together! The first day of T25 is Cardio, right? Well, tomorrow you're going to conquer that cardio! The hardest part of a workout is the first few seconds -- showing up and hitting play -- the rest is gravy!
