Hello everyone! I am Kelsmay (Kels works too). Allow me to explain myself a little.
I am 26 years old and I am currently 242.2 lbs. I have been a tad bit on the chubby side ever since intermediate school and all throughout middles school and high school. It has caused me a lot of remorse. I was bullied constantly for my weight which resulted in me become depressed, reclusive and suicidal. Thankfully I am over the depression stage (somewhat) and the suicidal stage. I am still quite reclusive. I am very friendly though but I am very critical on my self on my talents and what I can do... pretty much I put myself down a lot. Lack of self-esteem. I know a lot of it has to do with my weight, which is why I joined Spark People. I have a huge lack of self motivation and I am hoping that through using a site like Spark People, and seeing all the success stories.. and all the hard work done by others that it will help keep me motivated and be all like, "Hey! I can do it too!"
I am going to be pushing myself very hard. I have set my current milestone at losing 22.2 lbs to put me at exactly 220 lbs. I am striving to meet this goal by January of 2014. I am looking forward to seeing myself at a weight that I have not been at since 2004-2005.
Anyway! That is my current story. I plan on blogging/vlogging daily as I do my journey on losing weight. You are more than welcome to join me and help me keep motivated. I will do my best to do the same for you!
For my first routine to help me lose weight, I am doing Focus T25. I did the first work out today and barely nailed it. I lack coordination and balance though I know that will come with time. I also found myself getting winded but I tell you, I felt a lot better afterwards. I always loved cardio routines (though I tire easily) so I am looking forward to continuing the program.
