Seriously - only two more months left of this year. How is that even possible?
Well, October seemed to be kind of a bust. My favorite month, but lots of bad news. I had two GI procedures done - an upper and lower scope. I had a lactose intolerance blood test that came back inconclusive. And my mom was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer and underwent surgery to remove the cancer. It was a difficult month, so I am kind of glad that it is over.
Here is a recap of how my goals went:
ST 3x per week
The first two weeks I did a really good job with this, but after the bad medical news, plus being out of work a lot, I just didnt get in any real exercising the rest of this month.
Swim 2x this month.
That definitely didnt happen. And it getting really cold out - I think snow tonight! The thought of snow doesnt make me want to swim.
Complete 2 craft projects, not to include the quilt I am almost done with.
I put a thumbs down and a thumbs up becuase I did finally complete the quilt I had been working on, and it is now sitting on the conference table in my office. I also finished a wreath that I had been making J. So I did complete 2 craft projects - just one was the quilt. I did cut all of the fabric for a new quilt I am working on, too.
Re-organize the master bathroom and under the stairs closet.
No lie, I actually took leave from work to do this and then ended up on a phone conference - from home - for 3+ hours. I organized one of the under-the-counter cabinets in the master bathroom and the counter itself, but that is it. I never touched the closet, but I will have to do it soon because that is where my Christmas decorations are being stored!
Yup, like I said. Rough month. But it's a new one. Still full of stress, but I'll try to do what I can.
Walk/Run 50 Miles
I pledged 50 miles for the Pile On The Miles Challenge over at runeatrepeat.com.
I am also shooting for 800 fitness minutes this month between walking/running, dancing, and I also just purchased Focus T-25 and will start that next week - it arrives on Wednesday!

Complete 2 quilt tops. I want to make quilts for the 4 females in my family for Christmas - this is super ambitious but if I just focus I should be able to get them done. The patterns arent very difficult. It just means less tv time after work and more crafting time.
Dairy and Gluten free for the majority of the month. My doctor thinks I am lactose intolerant test even though my blood test came back inconclusive so he wants to me eliminate dairy for a while and see how I feel. I am also planning to eliminate gluten since I think most of my stomach problems occur after eating gluten products. I just want to see if I will notice any difference. Will be hard once Thanksgiving comes, though, so I am not planning to do it the entire month unless the doctor says otherwise when I see him on Wednesday.
Those are all of my goals for now. I dont want to be too ambitious, but I do want to motivate myself. I've been really really down lately - like nothing is enjoyable down. My therapist says that my stress questionnaire today showed that I am less stressed, but he can tell it's been taking a toll on me. :/ Hopefully this month will end on a more positive note.
Now, time to eat my fruit and then head to the gym for some treadmill time.
