I looked at my progress report for weight loss. I am 4 pounds over where I should be to meet my goal. I realized a couple of weeks ago that I was going to have to start jogging to get there. I want to be in Onederland by the time I visit my Dr in December. That's 6 more pounds. I should be about 190 by then with any luck. So today I started running. Not far but I have to include it in my exercise routine. So I've got biking on Monday & Wednesday. Walking on Tuesday & Thursday (or bike if the weather permits). I do long walks on the weekend. I also do 25 pushups 5 days a week, workout on my AbLounger and lift weights 5 days a week (morning or evenings whenever I can fit it in). I wasn't sure when I would find the time to add running too. I already jog down all the hills I come to when I'm out walking. But I've looked at alot of the successful weight loss bloggers here on Spark and they all have one thing in common - they run. They run races pretty frequently. They run with groups. They all run and they have all lost weight. Lots of weight. I want that to be me. I want to drop those 6 pounds and get it over with. To reach Onederland and start moving down to a healthier weight. I don't want to be 'obese' anymore. So I have to run. I shall run every possible day. Either in the morning before work or in the afternoon when I return home. I will try the morning tomorrow. Not far, just to the corner and back. But after the buses have gone by so none of my students see me. Tomorrow is a new beginning.
