Flare up but I'm still going to workout!

Right now everything hurts from the fibromyalgia and the lupus but I'm still going to exercise. I think it will help with the pain. Nothing to strenuous. I'm going on the elliptical trainer for 30 min (not full out, just at a nice steady pace) and I'm going to do my yoga for 30-40 minutes. I can't let this ontrol my life any longer. I have to take my life back. I've dealt with pain for a log time and this is no different. I'm sticking to the guidelines of what to do during a flare up so everything is low impact.

November is a new month with new possibilities! I refuse to sit on the sidelines anymore. My goal for November is to lose between 5-10 pounds and keep it off! Through healthy eating and exercising! emoticon emoticon !

  emoticon for sticking to your workouts. I know that walking and light exercises often help me manage my pain too. I notice that if I stay in bed or sit around too long it makes my pain worst. It is sometimes hard to workout when you don't feel well but you are right...working out is often better for pain management. emoticon

    That's great to read your determination-I'd like to lose 5-10lb in november too and am always thinking of doing yoga each night to relax and become more flexible. emoticon m emoticon emoticon

Yes, its so important not to let the diseases rule your life. Good on you for being careful and not overdoing it! Just moving is a great accomplishment! The elliptical has always been my go to workout when my body isn't cooperating.
I do envy you being able to do yoga! I have such poor balance its downright dangerous for me to try (can't afford to fall) and also I cannot do anything on the floor or put any weight on my fragile arms. Its a shame because I have heard so many positive things about its benefits!
