This weekend was filled with positive vibes for me, and I had a blast!
Friday I went to our gym. Saturday I did Jillian Michaels' yoga DVD and HOLY CRAP, was I sweating. And I thought the 30DS was bad... hehe. My arms and upper body have been sore since yesterday so I know that worked and I'll have to try and work it into my weekly routine now that it's getting colder out!
I volunteered at the Hot Chocolate 15k in Chicago yesterday. It was interesting being behind the scenes for a race instead of out running one, but it was actually a humbling experience to watch all the runners come by. I found it especially rewarding when I was able to hand out Gatorade or a high-5 to some of the runners. What I love about races is that everyone is so positive and for the most part, people join to get fit but a lot of the time just to share in the experience and have fun. Ahh, it makes me want to get my running shoes on (which I will today). So my boyfriend met up with me and we went for lunch. We took a nice walk along the lakeshore and since we were talking and taking pictures, I wasn't calculating how much we were walking. He ended up looking up our route and it turns out we walked approximately 4.4 miles yesterday!! I was so excited and proud of myself that for the last 3 days I have kept motivated on this fit2feast challenge for November. By the way.. has anyone changed their fitness/nutrition trackers and combined them so it deducts calories based on your workout? I've contemplated switching it to do that because mine are separate right now but I'm on the fence. Basically I'm trying to think of anything in order to keep keeping myself accountable!
