New beginnings , I feel I have made a fresh start!!! My daughter, the one to be married has started a countdown as well. She is so tiny and is so beautiful, esp in her dress!!! She finally decided on "the one" on Friday!!! Me and her sister were with her!! Sigh...my little girl, getting married in 299 days...OMG
I have got to stay on track. Today I will stay on track with my eating and I will not lie to myself.
My meal plan consists of 1100 calories, with vegetable snacks. My evening snack is not in there yet but as I am working til 6, I will be eating late and may not need it.
All the candy is finally gone! Gave it to the kids yesterday!!!
Did I tell you I am catholic??? yeppppp....Confession time!!!!
Ok, so yesterday after my long evaluation and assessment, I got the sense that I was starting anew but the next day!! today!!! So I felt that I had a free day yesterday!!! Like a leap year day!!!! I was not going to go overboard with my eating but I would not track and it was raining all day so I decided I would not walk at all. And I had amassed all the ingredients I needed to make the candy apples I promised the kids for Halloween. Please understand that the "kids" are two daughters - one 30 and the other 25!!! But, as any mother will testify - no matter how old they are, they are still your babies!!! So after my long blog, I started with the candy apples, I had bought a huge bag of caramels and I had to unwrap them. Thankfully, hubby is a good unwrapper!!!!! To make a long story short, there was much sampling of all the ingredients while the apples were being prepared, caramels, melted and whole, white chocolate chips, milk chocolate, skor bar bits, reeses peanut butter pieces, toasted coconut, and crushed walnuts. The end result was amazing though. I had 24 apples, coated in caramel and chocolate and then dipped in candy coatings. I had 5 each for each baby!!! The rest I brought to work today!! My co-workers love me!!!! hahahahaha....So anyway, that took hours and the kitchen was a mess! Bowls, coconut trails, trails of white chocolate chips all over, melted caramel and chocolate on the countertops and the floor and in my hair!! What fun!!!!!! After that, I cleaned the entire house top to bottom!! It was so lovely! It was raining and I had a lovely roast in the oven and I had some music playing and the timing was just perfect for a drink....on my leap year day!!!! So with a clean house and supper cooking, I mixed a drink!! Hubby was in the den working. The day was so peaceful and just good!!! Contentment!!! Singing, cooking, having a drink!! So cozy! So then, I had another! Anyway, I had a lovely roast beef dinner all cooked, and then we took the wine out of the fridge! After two previous drinks, I was quite willing to have a sip of wine! We were in the middle of dinner, when baby child showed up with her boyfriend, so they grabbed some plates and dug in! 5 minutes later the older daughter showed up with her fiance! Suddenly, it was a dinner party!!!!!! They grabbed some plates and dug in as well!!!! Well we ate and laughed and had a ball!!! Then they ate caramel apples!!! After a lovely time, they left with their pre packaged apples!!
Me and hubby did the dishes and then went for a stroll in the neighbourhood!! The rain had stopped and the night air was crispy cool!!!
It was the most wonderful day!!! Best leap year day ever!!!
I love my life so much and I am so happy!!! I am so grateful for everyone and everything in my life! I am surrounded by people who love me just as I am! And I love them in return!!!
How can life get any better?
I want to keep having these moments!!! I want to reach my weight goal so I will be healthy as I grow older, I want to be able to move and to have the energy to chase my grandchildren when they come as well!!
