It has been a busy week. New baby, baby's bris, buying clothes for new baby, visiting baby; trying to get my usual 90 minutes of fitness in every day. I haven't done 90 minutes every day, but I did pretty well.
My tracker tells me that I am in week 33 of maintenance. Truth be told I am up 6 pounds, it creeped up on me and lives in my belly and thighs. Am I staying in calorie range- yes. Am I exercising and challenging myself- yes. What happened? I was really hungry those first few weeks on maintenance and ate when I was hungry, always good choices; but still I gained.
I am determined to get back down to the lower weight, life is full of challenges. Am I thinner and more toned than when this journey began? definitely! Is my blood pressure lower - yes! Do I have more energy? Absolutely! I can do a one hour zumba class with people 1/2 my age, and I do not modify. I usually don't stop and (sometimes those younger women do). I love to challenge myself.
I have changed my mindset so that a fun vacation includes exercise. I am trying to become a bicyclist, in spite of almost breaking my arm. I want to be a healthy grandma.
This is all thanks to Spark and my SP friends who support and cheer me on.
So even if I hold those pounds.. I am still a size 8 and a medium. All of my new clothes fit, and I feel great. I will be working to get those pounds off, but I will do it slowly and carefully.
I want to stay maintaining, and at goal for life.
