4. What motivates you to stay committed to a healthy lifestyle?
Misery! Let me explain... When I was over 300 pounds I was miserable. Everything hurt. I was unhealthy and unhappy. In the process of getting healthy and losing weight, I somehow found some happy. Now I remember what joy feels like I don't want to lose it again. So, it is worth some effort and self discipline on my part now to maintain that joy.
And my dog. Can't forget Cooper! He has been instrumental in keeping me moving on those cold Winter days, when I would rather stay inside and do nothing. He can't do everything with me, but having to walk him means I have to do SOMETHING!!
Had a family dinner tonight. I purposely ate lightly at breakfast and lunch so that I could eat more at dinner. It was very yummy. My youngest niece made black bean brownies, which are black beans, cocoa, sugar, egg and vanilla. Very low in calories... but very rich and chocolatey.
