4. What motivates you to stay committed to a healthy lifestyle?
Misery! Let me explain... When I was over 300 pounds I was miserable. Everything hurt. I was unhealthy and unhappy. In the process of getting healthy and losing weight, I somehow found some happy. Now I remember what joy feels like I don't want to lose it again. So, it is worth some effort and self discipline on my part now to maintain that joy.

And my dog. Can't forget Cooper! He has been instrumental in keeping me moving on those cold Winter days, when I would rather stay inside and do nothing. He can't do everything with me, but having to walk him means I have to do SOMETHING!!

Had a family dinner tonight. I purposely ate lightly at breakfast and lunch so that I could eat more at dinner. It was very yummy. My youngest niece made black bean brownies, which are black beans, cocoa, sugar, egg and vanilla. Very low in calories... but very rich and chocolatey.

    GOOO GIRL GOOOO !!!! I was almost up to 300 (That's what spurred me to DO SOMETHING ! And a Dr's EMBARSSING REMARK ! And also looking like a friend,, I had ALWAYS considered "FAT" than I saw "I AM FAT !). I do also remembah how UNFCOFMTY it was !! EVERYTHING rubbed,, and HEAVY !!! EWWWIE !! Still have a ways to go kiddo, but I WANT IT !! That's to me is the HARDEST part to maintain !

    Plz Pat Cooper on the head !! Here's what we are considering for the next Chal,, see if Cooper approves, for he will be IN ON IT !! What we'd like to do, that instead of using a pic we find for the TEAMS PICTURE, that we ROTATE OUR DAWGGIES !!(Can Izzah count? She THINKS she's a DAWG!! Even ANSWERS the door ! MEOW !! LOL). So we will want pics of everyone's Dawgs,, ,if they so want,,, depending on how many pics, will determine how long the Dawggies show that you all own. :) If we have 8 Dawggies, that'll be a DAWGGIE A WEEK !!! And of course ,,, we would LOVE for how "does ur dawg help you to exercise?"

    I often say,nothing like feeling better to know how sick you were. I cannot imagine how uncomfortable you were at your highest weight. Remembering that feeling in comparison to how good you feel now must be a powerful motivator.

    And of course, Cooper. We'll do just about anything for our dogs...
