Zumba + Swimming = - Meds

After a whole week of just hanging about with low energy, just making it to work and getting 10-15 minutes of walking in during lunch, I finally got some energy back yesterday. I suddenly wanted to work out!
So I went to a 1 hr. Zumba class - which happened to be taught by one of the students from the high school I teach at! I never had him, but he recognized me from the halls and happily waved at me. He did an awesome job teaching, and I actually kept up. Afterwards, I went for a leisurely swim for 15 minutes. I was tired afterwards, but today I'm not as sore as I thought I would be.
Today, my best friend called and asked if I wanted to go to Denny's for breakfast. I did the "create your own omelett" thing, with avocado, squash/zucchini, spinach, and ham, fruit instead of the hash browns, and I gave my friend one of the slices of toast, so I stayed in my carb range. Afterwards, we went for a little walk.
Around noon, I started feeling shaky and tested my sugar. It was very low, at 72. I actually had to eat something (cereal with nuts and cranberries). Wow!
I think I'm at the point now where I can take the 2mg of glimeperide off the list of my meds and just take the metformin, as long as I watch what I eat and get my exercise.
My goal is to lose 20 more pounds and get off the medication so I only need to watch diet and exercise to manage the diabetes. I'm finally seeing results!
