Goal Setting

Sunday, November 03, 2013

Not long ago I set a goal to weigh 149 pounds by Thanksgiving. We're three days into November so that means there are only three weeks until Thanksgiving. Realistically, for me to weigh 149 by November 28th, I would need to lose more than 3 pounds per week to reach that goal. I know that goal is unattainable on that date. So what do I do with that? Modify the goal date; not the goal!

I love how LADYBIRD82 put it! Keep doing what you've been doing, don't beat yourself up, and enjoy how far you've come!

Modify the date and just keep working it! I have been bouncing around for SO long--but keep it below 160!!

I had the same problem for my bday had wanted to weight 168, I didnt make it but did hit 175. I slid my goal to get there by the end of the year or sooner.
I would still strive to a goal maybe make it a little more attainable and then set a new date for your other goal, but not too far out so that you still have to work for it.
You will make that weight just not as soon as you would like.
It was hard for me, but I realize that I am working hard and not giving up on the 168 I will get there! You will too!

Hugs and smiles

I would leave everything the same and continue to shoot for the goal and see what happens. If you hit the goal date and have not achieved what you want then readjust. Best of luck, you can do it.
