Medifast Day 116 -- November Goals

Sunday, November 03, 2013

Better late than never I suppose. Let's start off with how my October goals went:

emoticon Officially weigh into the 140s
emoticon Finish week 5 of C25K. I got sick and I'm on W4D3
emoticon Avoid ALL candy before/during/after Halloween
emoticon Squeeze into my pirate costume. Bonus - Ren. Fair gown fit.
emoticon Complete a wellness exam at my new doctor's office.
emoticon Teeth cleaning. Because I was sick it's rescheduled to Nov 21

Meh. Could be better, could be worse. Being sick really fudged up my goals.

I was looking through my Pinterest pins and found a basic strength training routine that I would like to do at least 3 times a week. The other days I would like to increase my cardio to 1 hour sessions. I'm going to melt these last 7 pounds off my body.

November Goals:

emoticon Reach goal weight of 135 lbs
emoticon Do strength training workout at least 3 days a week
emoticon 1 hour of cardio 4 days a week
emoticon Somehow get through Thanksgiving...

I remember last year's Thanksgiving. I was on a diet then and lost about 5 lbs. No one had noticed. I had caved and got drunk the night before. I spent all of Thanksgiving taking short naps while cooking/cleaning the house because I was the host. Barely made it through dinner. I'm not sure what we're doing this year. I've been trying to avoid my in-laws all year because of various reasons and they are going to be in Paris this year during the holiday. My parents will celebrate but you know there will be alcohol flowing. At this point, I don't know. There's also the 5 hours I'll be in a movie theater November 21st for the double feature premiere of Catching Fire. I'm just going to concentrate on getting my workouts in.

You still met tons of your goals! Being sick can derail a few things, but it only affected a few things.

Great job with your October Goals! Good luck with November goals! I'm sure you'll reach your goal weight this month.

I love those Pinterest type of workouts! I have one that is a various exercise set for each day of the week. I used to do some of them in my office when no one was around.

Thanksgiving and in-laws. They are always hard to deal with, so that's good you won't have to deal with yours this year! Being around alcohol is hard though, especially knowing you love wine as much as I do. Is there any way to indulge in just one glass since it's a holiday, or do your MediFast people say not to?

Lastly, I'm jealous you seeing the double feature of Catching Fire! I can't wait to see it. I probably won't be able to see it until the weekend after Thanksgiving.

You did great! everything that being sick didn't affect you accomplished! You can't run when you're sick and you certainly don't want a poor dentist breathing all up in your mouth space :) You had a minor setback outside of your control but you haven't let it derail you. That sounds like success to me.

And the free pushup meme just cracked me up.

I think you did really well with your October goals, especially since you've been sick! emoticon I'm sure you'll be back on track with your workout goals as soon as you get over that lingering cold.

Thanksgiving is hard...so much food, and that is the focus of the day for most people. Thank God it is only one day a year! We'll be going to my parents' house and I know there will be a ton of food. It's going to be hard, but I am going to try not to go carb crazy that day. This time of year sure is diet-unfriendly.
