Proud of my children!

Saturday, November 02, 2013

While Friday was a crazy day for me with a few more twists and turns than I had planned for, it was a very exciting day in that my youngest daughter, who is working on her Masters degree in Public Administration, got a chance to shine in a very public way in a newspaper article that describes the program she is working on, which is to help increase the number of high school students who apply for college here in Delaware:

So, of course, being a dad, I am all happy and proud of what she has already accomplished in just 2 months in the program, but then I got to thinking how proud I am of all 3 of kids. Fully employed, fully engaged, makes me think I did something right in raising them!

I'll see all three of them tonight at dinner, and I am going to make a point to tell each of them how proud I am of them!

You should be proud not just of them but of yourself as well. Good parenting seems to be in the rear view mirror so much these days.
It is really important for grown children to know their parents are proud of them.
Continued success to you and your family.

Fully employed, fully engaged, self supporting. That's the goal of raising kids. Having a good relationship with your kids when they get to that point is one of life's greatest joys; congratulations on achieving it!

You must have done something right, indeed. I'd also venture a guess that you've been something right -- conducted yourself in ways that set a model for your kids. By all means, tell them over dinner how you feel.

So wonderful to have children that make you proud. I am also sure they are proud of their parents too.

What a great blog! Good for you for letting your young 'uns know how proud they make you. It's so easy, once they're adults, to forget they still cherish M & D's encouragement.
You must be a great Dad.

I'm so glad that they are doing well and that you're the kind of dad that will say how proud of them you are. With my dad it's like pulling teeth lol. Have a great weekend!
