An Awful Day for Many Reasons

Friday, November 01, 2013

I have not felt well today. Perhaps it was the post-adrenaline drop from worrying about Bill's needle biopsy. That is the least of the bad news of the day.

Early in the day came the news of the gun violence at LAX. I learned, however, that none of my coworkers, according to our travel agent, were scheduled to be in that terminal at that time. Still, prayers for the wounded, for the traumatized and for the family of the dead, not to mention for the first responders and other caregivers.

Then I saw a blog from a member of one of my Sparkteams that her daughter was stabbed. She was 9 months pregnant and they delivered a baby girl via C-section. Hubby was overseas (military) and, from what I saw, made it home in time for the surgery. There is no further word on the mother/wife/daughter but my prayers continue. The baby girl needs prayers, too.

Bill was in a *mood* when I got home and took it out on me (verbally). I am just numb.

Movember report: I did not walk much, but I did take the stairs 3 times and did some stretching. So much more to do! I want to drop to a size 14 by my birthday in late March.

Tomorrow is my long day at the dealership. Catch 22. Hate working a second job, but so grateful for the opportunity. I NEED the money! I'm having my oil changed during my lunch break, so I anticipate getting in a good walk during that time.

I'm so sorry these tragedies were so close to you. I can imagine how stressed you've been over the last couple of days and today didn't help one bit. I'm sure Bill is stressed, too, but that is no reason to take it out on you. I hope he was better today.

Just remember that you have a whole lot of friends that are keeping you in their thoughts and prayers and I am one of them.

Yes, I share in your feelings as I reached out to the mother of the stabbed victim. Just a nightmare beyond words. And the LAX thing too. Seems like a jungle out there more and more.

Horrible news all around. I cannot imagine what sick person would stab a pregnant woman :(( Praying both baby and mother survive.
So very sorry Bill was such an arse to you. There is no excuse for that kind of behavior.
Taking the stairs 3 times is great! That is hard work! Keep on moving!
Hope you have a good day at work tomorrow..
Comforting and healing thoughts with you,

Sweetheart, this has been a very difficult day for you. Thank you for sharing it here.
We all need to know that we are loved and heard... and sometimes it seems that no one cares or understands.

Sending you prayers and warm hugs.

Love Wispy
