This Year Has Left w/o Me

Friday, November 01, 2013

It's like waking up to find it's November already. Where did 2013 go so fast?

Hoping to make November as successful as October was for me. It's a month filled with anniversaries of lost loved ones, including my first-born son ( father figure, grandfather a week later). But I do my best with it, which is all we can do.

I am hoping to discontinue my annual tradition of eating the entire pumpkin pie on Thxgiving.

In fact, today is Day 12 of my calorie correction course and doing very well.

Wishing all a wonderful day.

I also wonder where 2013 went. January and February lasted six months, but then when March hit it just put the peddle to the metal and roared on out of there

This month is the 10th anniversary of my late husband's death...the weekend after Thanksgiving. Even though it has been 10 years and I am happily remarried, it is still kind of a rough time.

Life goes on, though, and I look at all the blessings that I have. Praying that youhave the same comforts. emoticon

Perhaps you can make a commitment to just eating one piece of pie and make sure the other pieces go to other folks. Or maybe it is time to make a change to a different dessert.

Lots to be thankful for, including all of the wonderful memories of those who have gone on before us.

I don't know what your next seconds, minutes, days, weeks, months, or even years will bring you. You can't even tell that. But what you can do is do your best, even when you have a bad run of events or people, even when you don't feel like doing what you feel is best for you. That is sufficient for success. What that success will look like who knows? But it will be worth doing your best.

Hugs and lots of understanding of what lost loved ones is about.

I'm sorry to hear about your losses....it sure makes November a hard month. (((hugs)))

You are doing great on your ccc, so I'm thinking staying away from that pie will be a piece of cake for you.

You must really love pumpkin pie! LOL. I make lower carb pumpkin dishes. I can't have pie crust any way.

I have days that are the anniversary of the deaths of my loved one. 2 close loved ones died on the same day and 3 others on the same day.
